Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American. He was also an engineer and an inventor. He contributed to the development of the alternating current electrical system. A.C. for short. He was very smart and was a son of a priest and a mother that is good at making tools. Nikola had started to do research right now. Moreover, Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Croatia. He was the fourth child of his family of more sisters. His oldest brother was killed in a horse accident. Tesla was a successor in school. He was constantly moving from school to school, he finished a four-year term of 3 years and was outstandingly very intelligent. During school, Nikola was interested in electricity. He later came back to his home when he found out he had cholera. Being a very religious person , he believed that after this great sickness of his was over, he will be sent to the best engineering school. Tesla used to run away from his family once and a while. In one of his greatest adventures, he went to Tomingaj and came back from reconnecting himself to nature. He claims Mark Twain had recovered him. After this, Nikola decided to enroll into Austrian Polytechnic in Graz, Austria. When attending Austrian Polytechnic, Tesla was begging to go back home to his loving mother and father. At the same time, though he was going through a rough time and had some nervous breakdowns. As soon as Nikola went back home, his father had died at age of 60. Tesla doesn’t know what causes his death, but people say that he had a stroke. Soon after graduating the college, Tesla was working at the Continental Edison Company. He then moved on and emigrated to America where he built his own company, Tesla Electric Light, and Manufacturing. Then he built the invention, he is known for; the A.C. and the Induction Motor. In 1887, Tesla developed an induction motor that ran on alternating current (AC), a power system format that was rapidly expanding in Europe and the United States because of its advantages in long-distance, high-voltage transmission. He then died on January 7, 1943, in New York City at age 86. He never married and didn’t have any kids.
