It has been
a hectic schedule for Hyderabadis since Xmas weekend. The people in the City of
Pearls and Minarets were totally immersed in celebrations and events following
one after the other which spread till the New Year Beginning. And even now the
City of Nizams isn’t free.
Not even a
fortnight passed off and the city has once again entered the celebrations mood.

The city is
getting ready to FLY HIGH. People are busy getting ready for PONGAL
celebrations. Whilst they are preparing for kite flying, the traditional custom
of SANKRANTHI and getting ready to welcome friends and family with their
favorite dishes the Government of Telangana too is building up the spirits with
International Sweets Festival and 3rd Global Kites Festival.
isn’t Telangana government alone that’s giving that extra vibrancy and essence
there are also many other resorts, restaurants, and organizations that are
plunging into SANKRANTHI mood with food festivals and kite flying events. Come,
let’s have a look at Kite festivals that will take place around the city and
get back to our happy childhood yesteryears….
Hyderabad Polo &
This club as
the name suggests is famous for horse rides and Polo classes. And now it is
getting ready to give the city something other than the routine (Polo). Its all
ready to see the kites fly high.

Entry: Free for club members and Rs 100/-
Gujarati association is well-known for its perfect organization of festival and
social gatherings. It never misses out a chance to bring brotherhood and spread
Gujarat culture across the city and with the same enthusiasm it is gearing up for
its 6th UTTARAYAN: KITE FESTIVAL 2018.
Venue: PJR Sports Stadium, Chandanagar
Date: 14th January
Time: 10 AM-5 PM
Entry: Rs 300/- for 12 and above, Rs 250/-
for children aged 5 to 12
Kite Festival (TIKF):
the Government of Telangana, this is the 3rd international kite festival in
succession since 2016. TIKF will be held for 3 days and you know what?
Participating in this event, will not only let you fly a kite but also make you
fly for a cause. The T. Govt. has come up with ‘FLY FOR A CAUSE’, wherein
participants can adopt girl children from downtrodden sections and sponsor
growth & education.

Date: 13, 14 & 15th January

& on 15th its 9:30 AM-6 PM
Girish Global Holdings
Global Holdings (GGH), the new and happening entity in the business services
sector, which found its place in SiliconIndia magazine is up to celebrate Kites
festival to mark Sankranti and spread the festive celebrations.
