After graduating high school, I had no idea what career to pursue. For my first year of university,I explored a variety of courses in search for that one course that would change my life and directme through the right choices. In the search for my quest, I got enrolled in several departments. Ilearned a bit about entrepreneurship, philosophy, sociology, natural environmental sciences, statistics, information systems, English and much more. These classes made me know moreabout my world, most of all prepared me to face the challenges involved. Searching towards theright motive, I realised that I had the passion for technology and business, which made a careerin Information Systems the right choice for me. I learned that I enjoy the logic involved inconnecting business with technology. At first, I really considered going for pure business, and ata point, I wanted to study computer science because of my passion for innovative technology. This influenced my decision to pursue my undergraduate major. Through rigorous researches, Idiscovered that it is best I study Information Systems due to the fact that it covers my interest inboth business and technology. I love business because it is a field that gives you insights onhow co-operation, multi-national organisation and also enterprises run their operationssuccessfully. My love for technology supersedes everything. Technology to me is a sense ofcreating innovative and qualitative structures that can effect change positively. Studying theCombination of technology and business was the best and most interesting thing I have done. This has taught me to look at problems from a different perspective. My zeal and potentialtowards information systems have open doors to so many opportunities in life for me. In theyear 2014 I was selected amongst many to represent my University as its Google StudentAmbassador for the year 2014/2015, through this medium I was able to participate in worldwideactivities such as the Google Online Marketing Challenge, Google Developers, Hack Marathonsand so much more. These experiences taught me to see both sides when it comes to problems,to critically think, speak confidently and to speak out as loud as I could to reach the hearts of theignorant. My undergraduate schooling years have taught me to love and learn. I currently hold a goodGPA; this is not as a result of innate intelligence or grade-fixation but as a result of passion anddedication. The process of learning can be very intricate, but certainly I believe with hard work, commitment, dedication and most of all passion, the difficulties could be overcome with ease. For me, a challenge is a means that forces me to bring the best out of me. In other words, Iregard to my challenges as my motives. Deciding on a career has not been an easy task for me.But based on my experience at the undergraduate level I believe that to me, Informationsystems career is the right choice. Technology and business have given me an in-depthknowledge of how the world works. I might sound naive, knowing that many have left theirundergraduate level with the same dream only to be knocked out by reality. I am prepared forthis. I might not be able to be the best but certainly I believe that I would be doing what I lovethe most. I want to attend this University because it has a matchless reputation in terms ofquality of faculty, students and as well, good methods of impacting knowledge. I also like to bepart of this university because of its outstanding curriculum in terms of Information Systems. Ifound out this after rigorous research and comparative analysis of different universities. Withthese I would very much like to be considered an admission at this prestigious University.
